Look it's the Cowrier on the Web

...And a good time was had by all!

The morning chill and empty tables gave way to a throng of models and the carshow crowd coming to take a look at our scale plastic. There were a lot of lowrider entries, with trucks and hotrods making a strong showing as well. The competition catagory held its own, with a unique visit from the "Cowrier".
Our raffle went over like gangbusters, and the amount of tickets that were sold was staggering!
Thanks to everyone for making this such a neat event!
If you have photos and would like them posted here, send them here with full information and I will post them.

People's Choice Award Winner
Entering his first model contest paid off for Manuel Raylino of Lemoore.
His fully custom Silverado truck features gullwing doors, Frenched details and exterior enhancements. Great work!

Best Junior entry
Roberto Relayo brought in a clean well-built 69 Olds kit.
Considering his age, he's doing great work! Keep it up Roberto!
Only halfway there.
In time this table began to fill up with customized lowriders. Richard Perez displayed his ultra customized and incredibly detailed '59 Chevy Lowrider, and Elias Sanchez had a very strong showing with a number of lowrider entries and truck entries.
Full spring loaded Impala
Micheal Debem makes final adjustments to his '64 Impala.
This is a clean model (also shown on the other photo page) with a set of working springs.
WHOA!! That's a 'Vette!?!
Richard Horton gained points for presentation on a rotating display base, displaying all vantage points on his bright yellow 2001 Corvette Daytona runner.
this model had a ton of decals on it, and was not for the faint of heart. All I can say is, it gained a LOT of attention at today's meet.
Custom flames galore
Richard Perez makes a bold statement with his fully custom Chevy, including working doors and trunk lid, as well as flames sculpted on top of the kit plastic. Read the informative article in the club newsletter for a how-to on this particular effect.
How about a T'Rantula?
A couple of uncommon models--T'Rantula and Bad Medicine (complete with skeletal driver) by Gabe Delgadillo. These are unusual kits and not commonly seen. Blown engines coupled with wild designs cought some eyes during the day. Oh, T'Rantula took home 2nd for Gabe's efforts.
Admiring the view
Spectators check out the truck and lowrider catagory during the day. AT times, it was kind of difficult to move thru the lane. Next year, gotta reconfigure!
Our tables and display models
This is before many entries showed up, early in the day. (note that Kelly still has his sweater and vest on!) The models on the front table showed our diversity as a club. Kelly Voyles had a great display case on hand with suspended and standing airplanes.
